You could use all of the pond supplies for a lake to if you wanted, because you do not get as many lake supplies as you get pond supplies. Whatever you do though, whether you build a lake or a pond, if you have fish in any of them, you will need to water to be clean, you will need a pond filter, you will need a pond pump, or a lake pump, you will need to also get what is called a pong aerator to keep enough oxygen in the water if you pond or lake has no current or water feature like a water fall.
