The Horrors of Vaccination

By: Shawn Wilson

It is no surprise to me at all that we have another documented case of someone becoming seriously ill after taking his or her annual flu shot. Of course, it is never spoken of in the mainstream media, which is unfortunate because there are serious side effects, which the general public is not aware of.

However, vaccination horror stories are not new. A man in Saskatchewan contracted a rare and debilitating condition linked to the flu shot that left him paralyzed for almost five months. A neurologist diagnosed this man with Guillain-Barre syndrome, an autoimmune disease that attacks the nervous system.

Within two weeks of getting the flu shot, the Saskatchewan man was in excruciating back pain, experienced numbness, face paralysis and loss of reflexes. He spent the next 10 weeks recovering in a hospital, which included three weeks in intensive care, not being able to eat or breathe on his own.

Unfortunately for this gentleman, this illness has now progressed into a lifelong condition known as Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP). A year later, he remains heavily medicated, unable to work, and has memory problems.

Last year, a group of coworkers were diagnosed with Bells Palsy (a form of paralysis) after getting their annual flu shot. This is deterring many people from getting the vaccine and opting to being more proactive about their health by taking various health supplements instead to help boost their immune system and protect them from the flu such as taking appropriate doses of Vitamin D and Vitamin C.

Within Canada, a distribution of over 10 million influenza vaccinations are given every fall, for the vast majority of people, the flu shot causes no major problems. Even more are distributed in the United States.

The fact is that most dangerous side effects are not given enough airtime in the media and people are left unaware of the real dangers to this vaccine.

Many physicians' still insist that the benefits of the flu vaccine still outweigh the risks for the vast majority of people. However, it is never indicated how dangerous the risks really are. If people were to know about these dangerous side effects, they would think twice about getting one or risking their loved ones from getting one.

Many would say that this is only fear mongering; however, you need to take a look at the reality of the risk. There is a far greater risk than the 1 in a million as purported by the CDC, and at the very least, would you want to risk your child or elderly parent knowing this?

It is a tough decision to make, but people need to be made more aware of the consequences and given other choices as to what can be done to protect themselves other than a vaccine which poses too great of a toxic risk to us all.

Eating healthy and supplementing your diet with consistent doses of Vitamin C, Vitamin D and a balanced multi vitamin will make you healthier and stronger in the long run; and you don't have to fear getting the flu at all.

Many people unfortunately, are too lazy to eat healthy, opting to eat junk food often and don't want to invest in their health with the purchase of supplements. They would rather receive a free flu vaccine and be done with it.

As with anything that is free, it all too often is too good to be true.
