WHERE DO YOU GET ALL YOUR COSTUMES?
Most of the costume pieces must be imported from Germany, although a few of the women's garments are sewn in the traditional manner by the women themselves. Who makes your costumes?
All of the costumes are made by myself - Sam. I occasionally get help from a few other people, but this is usually technical help or stuff like sewing on buttons - not to belittle what Chris does, but I mean, buttons? ~_^ Since it's just me making the costumes, construction times can be high and the amount of costumes I can make at a time limited - but not as limited as some other custom made costume sites I've seen out there.Our costumes are the result of careful research, fabrication and a lot of hard work. The majority of our costume components are hand built and assembled in our spare time. Given that the likenesses portrayed by these costumes are the intellectual property of Lucasfilm, it must be stressed that the 501st Legion does not provide or manufacture costumes for purchase.
Can you ship gowns and costumes overseas?
I now only ship wedding gowns within the UK. It is usually preferable to combine a collection with a final fitting. On occasion, overseas clients - from Ireland, Scotland, Jersey, Holland and Canada have managed to fly into Stansted airport, which is not too far away. Where do you get all the Bear Costumes?
I rent them from about 5 different costume shops and SNL gives me three bear suits and the Tonight Show helps out with a couple. It’s amazing how the different suits have developed their own personalities. Everybody has their favorite.This is entirely up to you. You can choose the number of costumes appropriate to the size of your venue and budget, even if you choose one of our themed exhibitions.

The customer is responsible for returning the costumes in the condition they were shipped. This means cleaning and making necessary repairs. Cleaning instructions will be included with the order. Most costumes should be hand washed and allowed to drip dry.No. Costumes, make-up and masks are not allowed.
