How To Get Over Chronic Fatigue or Adrenal Syndrome

By: Michael Sellar

Chronic Fatgue is a health problem that doctors are often confronted with. The body no longer appears to be able to respond to stress. When the body is met with a stress, it responds in a particular way according to Dr Hans Selye. He stated that there are 3 stages of adaption. The first is called the alarm stage. The second is called the resistance phase. And the third is called the exhaustion phase.

Your Vital Adrenals

When the body is met with a stressor, its reactive mechanism to this stress lies in the adrenal glands. The alarm is raised and there is an increase in hormonal activity. If the exposure is repeated again and again, the glands adapt to this continuous stress by increasing in function and size. This cannot continue indefinitely however. The glands become exhausted and adaption cannot be maintained.

If a doctor sees a patient in the alarm phase, they can probably find a clear cause for the condition. It is unlikely a patient will visit the doctor in the resistance phase. Doctors usually see patients when they have reached the exhaustion phase. Here there may be no obvious reason why the patient is ill.

For instance a patient who presents with various allergies may have been in the resistance phase for some years. When the adaption fails, nothing can be found to account for the symptoms.

Symptoms of Adrenal Syndrome

Symptoms of chronic fatigue are considerable in number because the adrenals are involved in so many body processes. These can include exhaustion and fatigue, sensitivities to chemicals and the environment, mental health problems, bad circulation, digestive disturbances and more.

How To Treat Adrenal Syndrome

Treatment of this condition should work on several fronts. First of all, reduction of stress and secondly, support for the adrenals themselves. The latter must involve cutting back on refined carbs and sugar and gradual withdrawal of caffeine, alcohol and tobacco that act as stimulants.

Support With Nutrients

Vitamin C complex and the B vitamin group are important nutrional support factors. Supplements that contain raw spleen and adrenal factors from bovine sources can also offer valuable support by providing RNA and DNA factors.

Comprehensive coverage of this difficult to treat condition can be found in Chronic Fatigue Unmasked by Dr G Poesnecker.
