Phil Hellmuth was outstanding as he busted Kevin Ho, Shane Schleger, Jordan Morgan and Humberto Brenes to end up going to the final table as chip leader with $760,000. And this year one online poker room sponsored a chimpanzee named Mikey the Chimp to play at the tables. The 10th bracelet had eluded Phil for 13 months since 2005 when Brunson and Chan won theirs. Outside of that, like two samurai warriors Andy Bloch and Chip Reese cleared the table. Stands for Hold’em (both Limit and No-Limit), Omaha High-Low Split, Razz, Seven-Card Stud and Eight or Better. Event fund raising can be a great joy if you find the right event to promote. In the morning the heads up battle began with Chip Reese and Andy Bloch. The rest is divided into a portion for the top winners. Statistically, there were a total of 6,358 entries, making this year’s Main Event the second largest live poker tournament ever played. Day two had the beginning level start with the game Hold'Em at 2:00 p.m. Andy Bloch first stood up and received a penalty after going through a deck for marked cards that he saw at his table. Doyle Brunson steam rolled ahead as he took out players like Paul Phillips and others while building his stack to over 1,200,000. If you visit any of the online poker sites you will see how they distribute their money for tournaments. And Mike Matusow were busted, so no one had to worry about Matusow making good on his earlier bet by running the Amazon room "buck naked" if Phil became the winner. Intelligence helped paved the way for Michael Binger who has a PhD in theoretical particle physics. He pulled up in a limo wearing a racing uniform and a helmet. During breaks Hellmuth, sometimes described as a "ticking human time-bomb", could sometimes be seen pacing the tournament hallways in isolation. Now Day 1 will be split up into four segments, Day 1A, 1B, 1C and now 1D with Day 2 split into 2A (1A + 1C) and 2B (1C + 1D). So many entrants who tried very hard to stay in the tournament went out in a bad way. The 10th bracelet had eluded Phil for 13 months since 2005 when Brunson and Chan won theirs. He was eliminated when the other player quickly produced K J for 4 of a kind Kings. And after Day 2 lasted 21 hours, these top pros did not get much rest to prepare for the championship round. Event #3 No Limit Hold'Em had 2,998 players in it and Event #49 No Limit Hold'em broke that record with 3,151 entrants at the tables. Darren did what is one of the hardest things to do in poker, he folded his pocket Aces! Turned out he was right to do so as one player held pocket 7's the other pocket 8's giving each 3 of a kind and no help came on the turn and river for anyone. The cost can end up eating your profits away quickly. Event fund raising can be one of the most trying types of fund raising today. Day 1C ended with 659 players that will move on to Day 2B (survivors from 1C + 1D). This seemed to be quite a bit short of the record setting 2,138 entrants who came to the tables in 2006 on it's Day 1A. Day 2 action took off on a fast start with one player busting out on his very first hand. At the final table Jamie Gold continued his overall dominance of the action by taking out Dan Nassif, Erik Friberg, Richard Lee, Rhett Butler, Michael Binger and pro player Allen Cunningham. The first to go less than 10 min into the action was Patrik Antonius (9th). The rest is divided into a portion for the top winners.
