Classified ad services are used for many different reasons. Following are five different types of classifieds ads that are commonly found.

1. Community
The community category in online classified ad services encompasses exactly what it sounds like: features that concern the community where you live. There are places for you to post ads regarding community activities as well as a way to connect with local people who share the same interests as yours. If you are new to the area, this is the best place to start.

Many community sections also post local events that will be occurring as well as various classes that are offered throughout the region.

2. Housing

5. For Sale
If you have something for sale or are looking for a particular item, this is the place to go. In this category of an online classified advert listing service, you can search through bikes, boats, collectibles, electronics, clothing, furniture, vehicles, and many, many other items that are up for sale.

Most for sale sections also have a "wanted" section so that you can place an ad explaining exactly what it is that you're looking for.
