Fat Burning Foods To Help You Eat Calories & Lose Weight

You can eat calories, lose weight and feel great at the same time. Protein burns fat because of the increased metabolism and thermogenic affect it has on the human body. Carbs supply energy for workouts and everyday activities and in turn help to burn more calories. Healthy fats give your body the nutrients to rebuild tissue and keep your internal organs healthy. Don't be fooled by expensive weight loss drugs and supplements, it's a multi-million dollar industry that will never stop selling the magic pill scenario. The list below is a guide to whole foods that will help you burn fat the natural way.

1. Eggs mixed with vegetables such as red peppers, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, asparagus, onions and zucchini make a great carb enriched breakfast. Adding lean chicken or turkey sausages chopped up with jack, swiss or goat cheese rounds out this dish will all the nutrients you need to get started in the morning.

2. Eggs are an excellent source of protein with the nutrients that help increase good cholesterol. If you are looking for an alternative, egg beaters found in the local market are great for a pure protein source.

3. For a great meal between breakfast and lunch you can mix cottage cheese or ricotta cheese and yogurt together with chopped nuts and berries. The morning is a great time to add the extra carbs to your meal giving you the additional energy you need especially after a morning workout.

4. Chopped walnuts, pecans, almonds and macadamia nuts are healthy fats you need to round off meals containing protein and carbs. Healthy fat protects and cushions internal organs and also provides essential fatty acids that benefit your metabolism, heart and immune system.

5. If you love peanut butter then natural is the way to go, there are products in the grocery store that have just peanuts and oil as ingredients. There are options to plain peanut butter such as mixing almond butter and sesame butter or cashew butter with macadamia butter for a change in the same old taste of regular peanut butter.

6. Using real butter is much better than margarine since it has been proven that margarine clogs arteries and can accelerate a heart condition. Butter on the other hand is recommended and tastes delicious. Butter however is heavy on the calories so servings have to be regulated.

7. Avocados are a very healthy fat full of fiber and other nutrients that can be used in salads, wraps and sandwiches. I personally throw an entire avocado in a salad mixed with vinegar and oil. Cut around the avocado stone and it will pull apart easily when properly ripened. The skin will shed easily and once cubed makes a nice addition to any salad.

8. Mixing up balsamic vinegar, Udo's Choice Oil Blend and extra virgin olive oil makes a great salad dressing that's healthy and full of good fat. Most salad dressings contain highly refined soya bean oil.

9. Lake trout, salmon, herring and mackerel are excellent protein sources. Normal development, growth and brain function require omega 3 fatty acids contained in fresh fish. Eating fish two times a week is recommended by the American Heart Association.

10. For more fiber and carbs whole grain breads and wraps are the way to go. They should contain 4 grams of fiber per 20 grams of carbohydrates. To add to the taste of a yogurt or smoothie add wheat germ and rice bran for more nutrients, fiber and a crunchy taste.

These foods are natural and a healthy way to help your body grow. If you include protein, carbs and good fat in your diet 5-6 times a day your body will reward you with fast results. Protein increases metabolism, carbs supply energy and good fat helps your body develop. This combination will take you to the next level and allow you to eat calories and lose weight.
